Solid Gold

We offer a curated selection of solid gold jewellery — premium heirloom pieces crafted to last a lifetime in 9ct gold. Selected designs can also be made to order in 18ct Gold, Rose Gold or Platinum upon request.

How to Care for Solid Gold Jewellery

  • Store your gold pieces separately in a soft pouch or jewellery box to prevent scratches.
  • Remove jewellery before swimming, exercising or using household cleaning products.
  • Clean gently with warm water, mild soap and a soft cloth. Avoid abrasive materials.
  • To maintain its lustre, polish occasionally with a gold‑specific polishing cloth.
General Warranty

All The Silver Store pieces come with a warranty of three (3) months. Our warranty is only valid if the jewellery is proven to be defective due to the manufacturing process. Your warranty does not cover loss, changes in appearance, gradual degradation, damage, breakage due to wear and tear or improper use or storage of your jewellery. Replacement or repair is at the sole discretion of The Silver Store. If an item is replaced under warranty term, only the remaining term of the original contractual warranty will continue to apply.

Sterling Silver

Sterling silver is susceptible to tarnish and scratches and dents. 

The Silver Store warranty does not cover loss, changes in appearance including tarnish, gradual degradation, scratches dents and damage, breakage due to wear and tear or improper use or storage of your jewellery.

Gold Plated Sterling Silver

Gold plated Sterling Silver are very delicate and need extra care to preserve the plate. The plating will wear over time. The speed of this is determined by the amount worn plus how much contact or rubbing it has against other items. 

The Silver Store warranty does not cover plating loss, changes in colour or appearance, gradual degradation, damage, breakage due to wear and tear or storage of your items.

Stainless Steel & Gold PVD Plated Stainless Steel

Stainless Steel

Our stainless steel pieces are designed for real life. Unlike softer metals such as sterling silver, stainless steel is highly resistant to tarnish, corrosion and everyday wear. It’s our most “life‑proof” material — durable enough for daily use and safe to wear in the shower, at the beach and during most activities.

While stainless steel is exceptionally strong, the surface can still develop fine scratches over time, especially when worn alongside other jewellery.

Gold PVD Plated Stainless Steel

Our gold pieces are crafted from stainless steel and finished with PVD (Physical Vapour Deposition) plating — a premium, long‑lasting coating that is significantly thicker and more durable than standard gold plating. PVD creates a rich gold tone that is more resistant to fading, tarnish and wear, making it ideal for everyday jewellery.

To keep your gold PVD pieces looking their best, avoid exposure to harsh chemicals such as chlorine, bleach, strong cleaning agents and aerosol products.

Care Instructions

  • Clean gently with a soft cloth, mild soap and water
  • Dry thoroughly after cleaning or exposure to moisture
  • Store pieces individually to prevent scratches
  • Avoid abrasive surfaces and harsh chemicals
  • Suitable for showering and beach wear, but rinse after saltwater exposure

Warranty

The Silver Store warranty covers manufacturing faults only. It does not cover:

  • Loss or accidental damage
  • Changes in appearance, including scratches or fading from normal wear
  • Tarnish or gradual degradation
  • Damage caused by improper care, storage or exposure to chemicals

The Silver Store warranty covers clasps and slider. It does not cover loss, changes in appearance, gradual degradation, damage, breakage due to wear and tear or improper use or storage of your jewellery.

We recommend removing bracelet and necklace chains during sleep, showering or water activity, exercise and physical work.

Leather items should not be worn when showering or during water activities. 

The Silver Store warranty does not cover loss, changes in appearance, gradual degradation, damage, breakage due to wear and tear or improper use or storage of your jewellery.

We recommend removal of your leather items during exercise and physical work. 

Pearls

Baroque Pearls - no two pearls are ever the same. Their natural irregularity is part of their charm, the word baroque itself originating from terms meaning “irregular pearl.”

To care for baroque pearls avoid contact with chemicals, perfume, and cosmetics. Clean gently with a soft cloth. Store separately in a soft pouch. Avoid extreme temperatures and humidity.

All goods purchased from this website come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality.

The goods will not be of acceptable quality if such goods:

(a) are not fit for all the purposes for which goods of that kind are commonly supplied;
(b) are not acceptable in appearance and finish;
(c) have defects;
(d) are unsafe; or
(e) are not durable.

Subject to any rights you may have under the non-excludable guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law, we may impose fees payable by you in relation to any repair/service not covered by the guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law or the three month limited warranty.

The three month limited warranty excludes, to the extent permitted by law, damage due to ordinary wear and tear, misuse, accident, abuse, alteration, substitution, improper repair or warranty service performed by someone other than us, theft, disappearance, loss (including lost pendants and stones) or any other type of use causing deterioration.

To the extent permitted by law (including Australian Consumer Law), The Silver Store reserves the sole right to judge whether or not an item of jewellery has been subject to ordinary wear and tear.

When a good is repaired or replaced under the original contractual warranty term, only the remaining term of the original contractual warranty will continue to apply.
